BioMar raises EBIT guidance for 2018

After being marked by competition in Norway and a warm summer in Europe, BioMar Group is recovering significantly. The company delivers a strong Q3, almost outperforming the accumulated results of Q1 and Q2. All markets except Norway have shown performance above expectations which has led to a raise in the EBITDA guidance for the full year.

BioMar supports industry moves for changes in Antarctic krill harvesting suggested by Greenpeace

Representatives from the seafood industry, including BioMar, and conservation groups have agreed to support the creation of marine protected areas, including large no-fishing zones in the Antarctic. The Greenpeace led retailer roundtable event was held in conjunction with their Antarctic 360 event in Cambridge, UK, attended by scientists and Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem, who joined Greenpeace’s expedition to the Antarctic in January 2018.

BioMar expands their R&D capabilities in the Hatchery feed sector

BioMar has increased its research capabilities in hatchery with an expansion of its Aquaculture Technology Centre, ATC Hirtshals facility in Denmark. BioMar has now opened a state-of-the-art marine fish larval trial unit that not only allows for larval rearing but also the production of live feed.
